Dining at the Waggon & Horses
Being Voted Royston Weekly News ‘Best Restaurant for 2007’ (runners up for 2008) certainly pays tribute to the dining experience the Waggon and Horses has on offer.
A traditional bar menu runs alongside the Specials Boards offering a variety of traditional, modern and vegetarian cuisine. The fish specials are a popular choice, and with a reputation locally for serving ‘The Best Sunday Lunch Around’ the Waggon and Horses is definitely worth a visit!
The food is all cooked to order by owner Chef Sandra Lloyd, with a view to using fresh locally sourced produce as much as possible. Homemade fresh food replaces processed and frozen products wherever possible, with special attention to the children’s choices.
The Inglenook Dining Room is the perfect setting for meals or buffet parties with family and friends on that special occasion, and children are welcomed by this family run business.
The Inglenook Dining Room is an ideal venue for smaller events, and there is no charge for the hire of its use. Recent uses vary from small wedding parties and christenings to birthdays parties of varing age groups, and on a more sombre occasion funeral gatherings.
